The ADN Mixed Syndicate entrusted the consortium made up of Adtim, Axione, and Bouygues Energies & Services with the operation and marketing of the public fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network in the Drôme and Ardèche departments for 18 years.

The official signing of the contract took place on Tuesday, 13 December, in the presence of the President of the Ardèche Drôme Numérique (ADN) Mixed Syndicate Hervé SAULIGNAC; ADTIM CEO Éric JAMMARON, Axione CEO Cyril FERRAND; and Bouygues Energies & Services Deputy Managing Director Pierre-Eric SAINT-ANDRE.

A new ad hoc company named “ADTIM FTTH” dedicated to the bi-departmental fibre optic (FTTH) network for Ardèche and Drôme was created. It will be in charge of the technological operation and marketing of more than 310,000 FTTH sockets.

It will also be responsible for connecting users once they subscribe to an operator’s fibre Internet service plan.

This project aims to deploy 16,000km of fibre optic cables and provide coverage for 97% of households in Drôme and Ardèche in 640 towns.

In 2016 alone, the work on 43,000 FTTH sockets throughout both departments has already been launched.

The signing of this contract marks a major milestone in carrying out the FTTH project and begins the operational launch of the deployments.
